Saiber LLC Expands Business Services And Employment Practices

Longtime NJBIA member Saiber LLC on Tuesday announced the addition of Marc D. Freedman as member and Steven M. Friedland as counsel in a move that strengthens the Florham Park law practice’s Business Services and Employment practices.

This strategic growth reflects Saiber’s commitment to strengthening its corporate and M&A capabilities, with a specific focus on industry-specific services for customers in the staffing sector and beyond.

Both attorneys join Saiber from the shop company Freedman & Friedland LLC of Hasbrouck Heights, bringing decades of experience in business and employment law, especially within the staffing industry.

Freedman, an experienced corporate attorney, joins the firm’s Business Services group as a member. With a comprehensive background in employment and corporate law and mergers & acquisitions, he brings deep understanding of the legal and service issues impacting staffing companies and other industries.

He previously served as general counsel and senior executive officer for among the largest public companies in the temporary work sector. His comprehensive experience includes business acquisitions, securities compliance, labor relations, safeguarding companies in discrimination matters and class actions, restrictive covenant lawsuits, risk management, and strategic consulting for senior executives.

Freedman is presently general counsel to the New Jersey Staffing Alliance and previously served in comparable roles with nationwide staffing associations.

Friedland will join the firm as counsel in the Litigation practice group. With a focus on work law and lawsuits, he brings over 2 decades of experience defending employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour matters before and state courts and administrative companies, in addition to representing businesses in commercial lawsuits.

He likewise frequently counsels clients on day-to-day work environment matters and drafts different contracts, policies, and compliance materials. Previously, Friedland practiced work and labor law at 2 companies with a national presence.

“We are thrilled to welcome Marc and Steve to Saiber,” said Nino Coviello, co-managing member of the company and a leader of the Business Services practice group. “Marc’s reputation as a trusted consultant and his extensive leadership within the staffing market will be a considerable property to our company and customers. In addition, Steve’s lawsuits experience complements our growing work and business litigation capabilities.”

Ami Foger, also a leader in the company’s Business Services practice, added, “Marc and Steve bring a vibrant mix of transactional, employment and lawsuits experience that will further enhance the services we provide. Their longstanding customer relationships will be instrumental as we continue to broaden our corporate and M&A platform.”

Freedman shared his enthusiasm about joining Saiber: “I’m delighted to sign up with a company with the depth and breadth of talent that Saiber uses. Leveraging the Firm’s huge resources will allow me to better serve my clients and broaden the effect of our work.”
