Written Demands, employment Complaints, & Investigations
Demands & Complaints for Wages: If an employer owes you earnings, you can send your company a composed need for payment of incomes by mail, e-mail, text, or other electronic methods. A written need might be sent out to the company at the same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for overdue wages is filed with the Division. The Labor Standards Complaint Form can be discovered on our Demands, employment Complaints, Responses, and Settlements web page.
Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a total Labor Standards Complaint Form is gotten and reviewed, a letter describing the nature of the complaint and the amounts declared to be owed is sent out to the employer. For additional information about the investigation procedure, please examine the Wage & Hour Claim Investigations – Employer FAQs website.
Investigations Launched by the Division (” Direct Investigations”): The Division may carry out employer-wide direct examinations of possible offenses of Colorado wage and hour law. If you want to submit an idea, please email the Division at cdle_di_tips@state.co.us. If you wish to file a specific claim for unpaid wages, you need to complete a Labor Standards Complaint Form on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements website. To appeal a direct examination citation or several Notices of Assessment, an alleged employer may submit a Direct Investigation Appeal Form.
